7 answersHow does the QC3080H connect to power if it does not plug into a busbar?
The QC3080H is a feed-thru breaker featuring a cable-in/cable-out design. Instead of snapping or bolting onto a panel busbar, it uses box lugs on both the line and load sides to connect directly to your wiring.
Will the QC3080H fit in a standard residential Eaton BR or CH load center?
No. Because it is a feed-thru breaker with line and load lugs, it cannot plug onto or bolt onto standard residential busbars. It is specifically designed for Eaton Quicklag panelboards, industrial enclosures, and control panels.
Can I mount the QC3080H on a DIN rail?
Yes, but it requires a separate DIN rail adapter. Out of the box, it is configured for standard panel mounting.
Do I need to purchase special lugs to use aluminum wire with this breaker?
No. The factory-installed box lugs on the QC3080H are dual-rated for both copper and aluminum (Cu/Al) conductors.
Is the QC3080H suitable for HVAC equipment?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated, meaning it is approved for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment that requires HACR-certified overcurrent protection.
Does the QC3080H provide ground fault or arc fault protection?
No. This is a standard thermal-magnetic breaker designed strictly for overload and short-circuit protection. It does not contain GFCI or AFCI circuitry.
Are Eaton and Cutler-Hammer QC3080H breakers the exact same product?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer and continues to manufacture the Quicklag QC series under the Eaton name. The QC3080H catalog number and physical specifications are identical regardless of which brand name is printed on the label.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
