Description
Part of the BR family, the BQ240220 is a quadplex breaker that supplies two separate 240V circuits—one 40A and one 20A—while only occupying two standard panel spaces. It mounts into Eaton BR load centers, as well as legacy Westinghouse, Bryant, and Challenger enclosures that accept CTL rejection clips. Rated at 10 kAIC for 120/240V systems, this plug-on device utilizes thermal-magnetic trip technology to protect against overloads and short circuits. This breaker is designed for Eaton BR series load centers. It is also a direct fit for legacy Westinghouse, Bryant, and Challenger panels that accept Type BR or Type BQ breakers.
Does the BQ240220 require a CTL (Circuit Total Limiting) panel slot?
Yes. This breaker includes a rejection tab, meaning it is a CTL plug-on breaker. It must be installed in panel spaces specifically notched to accept tandem or quadplex breakers.
How much panel space does this quadplex breaker occupy?

No. The BQ240220 features an independent trip design. The 40A two-pole circuit and the 20A two-pole circuit operate separately, so an overload or short circuit on one will not cause the other to trip.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
