Each 2-pole circuit features a common trip mechanism to ensure simultaneous disconnect of both legs during an overload or short circuit. This Class CTL quadplex unit installs into Eaton Type BR panelboards that accept tandem breakers. This breaker is designed for use in Eaton Type BR load centers. It is also a UL-approved replacement for older Westinghouse, Challenger, and Bryant panels that accept Type BR breakers. Ensure your panel has notched bus stabs to accept CTL quadplex breakers.
How does the quadplex configuration work on this breaker?
The BQC230230 provides two separate 30A, 2-pole circuits while only occupying two standard 1-inch spaces in your panel. The outer two poles form one 240V circuit, and the inner two poles form the second 240V circuit.
Does this breaker feature a common trip mechanism?
Yes. The C in the BQC prefix indicates a common trip. For each of the two independent 2-pole circuits, both legs are internally tied to trip simultaneously if an overload or short circuit occurs on either leg.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
