The CH240 is designed exclusively for Eaton CH series load centers. Because it is a 2-pole breaker, it requires two 3/4-inch spaces (1.5 inches total) on the panel bus.
Can I install this CH240 breaker in a BR series panel?
No. Eaton CH breakers have a 3/4-inch width per pole, while BR breakers are 1-inch wide per pole. They have different mounting configurations and are not interchangeable.
Is the Eaton CH240 HACR rated?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated, making it suitable for protecting circuits connected to heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Does the CH240 require a hold-down kit for back-fed applications?
Yes. If you are using this breaker as a back-fed main, the National Electrical Code (NEC) requires a hold-down retainer kit, such as the Eaton CH125RB, to securely anchor it to the load center.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.

When our main breaker frizzed out, the option we were presented with was replacing the entire panel and service due to the type and part - no longer produced for replacement parts. It would be a $6500 replacement.
We'll likely have to do it at some point but, for now, the replacement breaker we were able to source from Superbreakers (with a $25 warranty) was $5900 less expensive. installation ran a few hundred dollars and the tech said the part looked to be in excellent condition and was prepped for install as he would have hoped.
