7 answersWhat panels accept the Eaton CHN215GF?
The CHN215GF is designed exclusively for Eaton and Cutler-Hammer Type CH loadcenters. It fits both legacy standard-neutral panels and modern Type CH Plug-On Neutral (PON) loadcenters. It is not compatible with Eaton Type BR panels or panels from other manufacturers.
Will the CHN215GF fit in an Eaton CH Plug-On Neutral (PON) loadcenter?
Yes. Although it uses a traditional pigtail neutral wire, the physical casing of the CHN215GF is specially designed to install in Plug-On Neutral loadcenters without interfering with the PON neutral bar.
What is the difference between the CHN215GF and the older CH215GF or CHF215GF?
The legacy CH215GF and CHF215GF breakers have an older casing design that physically conflicts with the neutral bar in newer Eaton CH Plug-On Neutral loadcenters. The CHN215GF features an updated housing that bypasses this bar, making it backward-compatible with legacy panels and forward-compatible with new PON panels.
What level of ground fault protection does the CHN215GF provide?
This breaker is a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). It provides 5mA personnel protection to meet standard NEC ground-fault requirements for residential and commercial circuits.
Does the CHN215GF provide arc fault (AFCI) protection?
No. The CHN215GF provides Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection only. It does not include Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) or Dual Function protection.
How is the neutral wired on the CHN215GF?
This breaker features a pigtail neutral connection. You must route the attached white pigtail wire to the neutral bus bar in your loadcenter to power the internal ground-fault circuitry, regardless of whether you are installing it in a standard or Plug-On Neutral panel.
What type of trip mechanism does the CHN215GF utilize?
It uses thermal-magnetic trip technology. A thermal element provides long-time overload protection, while a magnetic element delivers instantaneous tripping for severe short-circuit conditions.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
