No. The BQ230240 is a CTL (Circuit Total Limitation) breaker equipped with a rejection tab. It must be installed in an Eaton BR load center with notched bus stabs designed to accept tandem or quadplex breakers. It cannot be installed in non-notched panel slots.
How are the 30A and 40A circuits configured on the BQ230240 quadplex breaker?
This quadplex breaker provides a 30A two-pole circuit on the outer poles and a 40A two-pole circuit on the inner center poles.
How much panel space does the BQ230240 require?
This quadplex breaker provides four poles of protection but only requires two standard 1-inch spaces in a compatible load center.

The BQ series features independent trip mechanisms. The outer 30A circuit and the inner 40A circuit will trip independently of one another during a fault. If you require a common trip for all four poles, you need the BQC series equivalent.

Expedited Shipments
