This breaker is designed for use in Eaton Series C panelboards, motor control centers, and switchboards that accept F-frame bolt-on breakers.
Can I use the FD2040 to replace an FDB2040 or HFD2040?
The FD2040 can replace an FDB2040 because it shares the same physical dimensions and offers a higher interrupting rating. It can only replace an HFD2040 if the system fault current requirements do not exceed the 35kA at 480VAC rating of the FD frame.
Will this Eaton breaker fit in older Westinghouse panels?
Yes, Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment line. This Series C F-frame breaker is a direct replacement for older Westinghouse FD2040 breakers and fits the same legacy panelboards.
Is this breaker suitable for direct current (DC) applications?
Yes, the FD2040 is rated for up to 250VDC with an interrupting capacity of 10kA, making it suitable for specific DC control panels and battery systems.
Does this breaker mount to standard DIN rail?

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping

The breaker we purchased was as advertised. The breaker fit perfectly. We purchased reconditioned breaker and it seems to be working properly, accordingly to the golf course maintenance team that supervises the irrigation system.
Next day shipping came quickly even though the 4th of July was coming.
I wish it came with new installations hardware but that isn’t a deal breaker.
