5 answersWhat panels and equipment are compatible with the FD3050?
This breaker installs directly into Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. Because Eaton maintained the legacy mounting footprint, it will also fit into older Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment designed for F-frame bolt-on breakers.
Can the FD3050 replace an older Cutler-Hammer or Westinghouse breaker with the same part number?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment lines. The current FD3050 serves as a direct, backward-compatible replacement for legacy Cutler-Hammer or Westinghouse FD3050 models, sharing the exact same physical dimensions and mounting configuration.
Is the FD3050 suitable for reverse feed applications?
Yes. Eaton Series C F-frame circuit breakers are engineered without line and load restrictions. This makes the breaker fully suitable for reverse feed installations where backfeeding the panel is required.
Can this breaker be used for HVAC or specialized lighting circuits?
Yes. The FD3050 carries a HACR rating, making it code-compliant for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Additionally, because its rating falls within the 10 to 50 amp range, it is certified for use with HID (high-intensity discharge) lighting loads.
How are the line and load connections configured on this breaker?
The line side features a standard bolt-on connection to attach directly to the panel bus. The load side comes equipped with standard mechanical lugs that accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping

The breaker we purchased was as advertised. The breaker fit perfectly. We purchased reconditioned breaker and it seems to be working properly, accordingly to the golf course maintenance team that supervises the irrigation system.
Next day shipping came quickly even though the 4th of July was coming.
I wish it came with new installations hardware but that isn’t a deal breaker.
