Description
Designed for seamless integration into Eaton Series C panelboards, the FD1070 is a 1-pole, 70A bolt-on molded case circuit breaker. As part of the proven F-Frame family, it provides reliable thermal-magnetic protection for commercial distribution systems. This breaker features a 35 kAIC interrupting rating at 277 VAC and includes standard load side lugs. It is HACR rated, reverse feed capable, and serves as a direct replacement for older installations. It is replaced by the PDG21G0070TFFJ.Specifications

The FD1070 is designed for use in Eaton Series C panelboards, including Pow-R-Line 3a (PRL3a) and Pow-R-Line 4 (PRL4), as well as compatible switchboards and motor control centers. Installation in panelboards requires the appropriate F-frame connector kits.
Can the Eaton FD1070 breaker be reverse fed?
Yes, Eaton Series C F-frame thermal-magnetic circuit breakers, including the FD1070, are suitable for reverse feed applications.
Is the FD1070 HACR rated for HVAC applications?
Yes, all Eaton Series C F-frame molded case circuit breakers are HACR rated, making them suitable for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Is the FD1070 rated for High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting applications?
No, Eaton Series C F-frame breakers are only HID rated up to 50 amps. Since the FD1070 is a 70-amp breaker, it does not carry an HID rating.
What is the direct replacement for the Eaton FD1070?
According to Eaton's modernization path, the Power Defense series is the newer equivalent. Specifically, the PDG21G0070TFFJ is the direct replacement for the FD1070.
What is the difference between the FD1070 and the HFD1070?
The difference is the interrupting rating. The FD1070 has a standard interrupting rating of 35 kAIC at 277 VAC, while the HFD1070 is a high-interrupting breaker rated for 65 kAIC at 277 VAC. Both share the same physical F-frame footprint.
Does the FD1070 come with panelboard mounting hardware?
The FD1070 is a bolt-on breaker. When installing it into an Eaton panelboard, you will need the appropriate F-frame connector kit (such as KPRL3AFD for PRL3a panels), which contains the necessary mounting hardware and bus connections.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.

The breaker we purchased was as advertised. The breaker fit perfectly. We purchased reconditioned breaker and it seems to be working properly, accordingly to the golf course maintenance team that supervises the irrigation system.
Next day shipping came quickly even though the 4th of July was coming.
I wish it came with new installations hardware but that isn’t a deal breaker.
