The plug-on device installs into Eaton BR load centers, along with compatible Westinghouse, Challenger, and Bryant panelboards. The BRN215GF is Eaton's updated catalog number that directly replaces the older GFTCB215. Both are 15A, 2-pole GFCI breakers with a pigtail neutral designed for BR series load centers.
Can the Eaton GFTCB215 be installed in older Westinghouse or Challenger panels?
Yes. Eaton BR series breakers, including the GFTCB215, are UL classified and listed as direct replacements for legacy Westinghouse, Challenger, and Bryant load centers.
How is the pigtail neutral wired on the GFTCB215?
You must connect the coiled white pigtail wire directly to the panel's neutral bus bar. The circuit's load neutral wire lands directly on the breaker's neutral terminal.
Can this 2-pole GFCI be used for multi-wire branch circuits?
Yes. A 2-pole GFCI like the GFTCB215 can protect 120/240V multi-wire branch circuits that share a single neutral wire, as well as dedicated 240V loads.
What is the ground fault trip threshold for the GFTCB215?
This is a Class A GFCI breaker designed to trip when it detects a ground fault current of 4 to 6 milliamps (typically rated at 5mA) to protect personnel from electrical shock.
How do I verify the ground fault protection is functioning?
Eaton recommends testing the GFCI breaker monthly. Press the TEST button on the front of the breaker while it is powered on. The breaker should trip immediately, confirming the ground fault circuitry is operational.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
