Can the GHC3040 be mounted on a standard DIN rail?
Yes. While it is primarily a unit-mount breaker, it can be securely attached to a standard DIN rail system by installing an Eaton G-Frame DIN rail adapter.
How does a unit-mount circuit breaker like the GHC3040 connect to the circuit?
Unlike plug-on or bolt-on breakers that attach directly to a panel busbar, this unit-mount or feed-thru breaker fastens independently to a backpan with screws. Both the line and load connections are made by wiring directly into the built-in lugs.
Why is this breaker rated for 480Y/277VAC instead of a straight 480VAC?
The 480Y/277V rating indicates this breaker is specifically engineered for solidly grounded wye electrical systems. It is not rated for ungrounded 480V delta systems because the voltage to ground on any single pole must not exceed 277 volts.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
