This panel-mount J-Frame breaker installs into compatible switchboards and motor control centers. It fits legacy installations and is replaced by the PDG33G0090TFAN. Can the Eaton JD3090 replace older Westinghouse JD frame breakers?
Yes. Eaton Series C molded case circuit breakers are backward compatible with legacy Westinghouse, Cutler-Hammer, and Challenger J-frame breakers. The JD3090 can directly replace older 90A, 3-pole JD breakers.
What is the magnetic trip adjustment range for the JD3090?
The JD3090 features an adjustable magnetic trip setting that ranges from 5 to 10 times the continuous current rating. For this 90A breaker, the instantaneous trip can be set between 450A and 900A.
What trip unit is included with the JD3090?
The JD3090 is a complete breaker that comes factory-assembled with a JT3090T thermal-magnetic trip unit. This unit provides fixed long-time and adjustable instantaneous protection.
Which lug kit is standard for the JD3090?
The standard line and load lug kit is the TA250KB. It accepts one 4 AWG to 350 kcmil aluminum or copper conductor per phase.
Is the JD3090 suitable for reverse feed applications?
No. Standard JD frame breakers are not suitable for reverse feed. For reverse feed applications, a JDB frame breaker with a factory-sealed, non-interchangeable trip unit is required.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
