8 answersCan the Eaton QC3035H be mounted on a standard DIN rail?
Yes. While the QC3035H is natively a panel mount, cable-in/cable-out breaker, it can be adapted for 35mm DIN rail installation using the Eaton QCDINADAPT accessory. Because this is a 3 pole breaker, you will need three adapters to properly secure it.
What is the difference between Eaton QC and QCD series breakers?
The QC series, including the QC3035H, is designed for standard panel mounting with cable-in/cable-out connections. The QCD series comes factory-equipped for DIN rail mounting. You can convert a QC breaker to function like a QCD breaker by adding the proper DIN rail adapters.
Does this breaker require a specific panelboard bus for installation?
No. Unlike plug-on or bolt-on breakers that require a specific busbar chassis, the QC3035H is a standalone cable-in/cable-out breaker. It mounts directly to a panel backplate or enclosure, and wires are lugged directly to both the line and load sides.
What type of wire connections does the QC3035H use?
This breaker features box lug terminals designed for a feed-thru, cable-in/cable-out wiring configuration. The lugs accept wire sizes from 14 AWG to 4 AWG.
Is the QC3035H suitable for direct current (DC) applications?
Yes. In addition to its standard AC ratings, this breaker is rated for 3.8kAIC at 62.5VDC, allowing it to be used in specific low-voltage DC control circuits.
What does the LI trip function code mean on this breaker?
The LI code indicates that the thermal-magnetic trip unit provides both Long-Time (thermal) protection against gradual overloads and Instantaneous (magnetic) protection against short circuits. Both settings are fixed on this model and cannot be adjusted in the field.
Can the QC3035H replace legacy Cutler-Hammer breakers?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer, and the QC3035H directly replaces older Cutler-Hammer breakers with the same catalog number. It also serves as a direct replacement for the legacy QCL3035H model.
Can I use the QC3035H in a standard residential load center?
No. The Quicklag QC series is an industrial, cable-in/cable-out miniature circuit breaker designed for control panels and enclosures. It does not plug or bolt onto the busbars of standard residential load centers like Eaton BR or CH series panels.

Expedited Shipments
