Which panelboards accept the Federal Pacific NEF421070 circuit breaker?

This N-frame breaker is specifically designed for use in legacy Federal Pacific NEF and CDP panelboards. It bolts directly into the enclosure without the need for retrofit adapters.

How is the NEF421070 installed into the panelboard?

It utilizes a bolt-on mounting configuration that fastens directly to the busbar of compatible NEF and CDP panelboards, providing a secure mechanical and electrical connection.

What are the wire size limits for the NEF421070 lugs?

The integrated lugs are sized to accept conductors ranging from 14 AWG minimum up to 1/0 AWG maximum.

Is the NEF421070 rated for direct current systems?

Yes, this breaker supports 250V DC applications and provides a 10kA interrupting capacity for DC faults, alongside its standard AC ratings.

How does the interrupting capacity scale with system voltage?

The breaker provides 18kA of fault interruption at 240V AC, which steps down to 14kA when applied to 480V AC systems.

What is the direct cross-reference for the NEF421070?

The UBIF270N is an exact-fit aftermarket replacement that matches the 70A rating and N-frame dimensions, allowing it to bolt into the same Federal Pacific enclosures.

What type of fault protection does this breaker provide?

It features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit that delivers long-time protection for overloads and instantaneous protection for short circuits (LI trip functions).

    Great service & pricing

Superbreakers did a great job for us. We called and asked if the breakers were actually in their possession. Withing 30 minutes they called us back (which is rare these days), and we got our breakers the next morning.
