Product FAQs

5 answers
Can I snap this breaker into a standard plug-on load center?

No, the NEF635100NA is a bolt-on molded case circuit breaker. It must be bolted directly to the busbars and is exclusively compatible with Federal Pacific NEF panelboards.

What does the NA suffix in the NEF635100NA part number mean?

The NA indicates that this is a non-automatic molded case circuit breaker. It functions primarily as a disconnect switch and does not include standard overcurrent protection. It must be used in conjunction with appropriate upstream protection.

What size conductors can be terminated on the NEF635100NA?

The factory-installed lugs accept wire sizes ranging from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG. Always verify that your selected conductor size meets the required ampacity for a 100A circuit under local electrical codes.

Can I use this breaker in a system with a 22kAIC fault current requirement?

No, the maximum short-circuit interrupting rating for this breaker is 18kAIC at 240VAC, and 14kAIC at 480VAC or 600VAC. It must not be installed in systems where the available fault current exceeds these limits.

Is this breaker suitable for DC voltage applications?

Yes, the NEF635100NA is rated for use on DC systems up to 250VDC, where it provides a 10kAIC interrupting capacity.

    Great service & pricing

Superbreakers did a great job for us. We called and asked if the breakers were actually in their possession. Withing 30 minutes they called us back (which is rare these days), and we got our breakers the next morning.
