Product FAQs

8 answers
Which panelboards accept the TEB122020 circuit breaker?

The TEB122020 is a bolt-on MCCB designed specifically for GE A-Series and Spectra Series commercial panelboards. It will not fit in standard GE Q-Line residential load centers.

What is the difference between GE TEB, TED, and THED circuit breakers?

All three are part of the GE E150 frame family and share identical physical dimensions. The difference is their maximum voltage and interrupting ratings. TEB breakers are standard-tier for 240VAC systems, while TED and THED models support higher voltages (up to 480VAC or 600VAC) and offer higher short-circuit interrupting capacities.

Can the TEB122020 be reverse fed?

Yes, GE E150 frame breakers, including the TEB122020, are suitable for reverse feed applications where power is supplied to the load terminals instead of the line terminals.

Is the TEB122020 HACR rated for HVAC equipment?

Yes, this 20-amp TEB breaker is UL listed as HACR type, making it suitable for providing branch circuit protection for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.

Is the TEB122020 suitable for direct current (DC) applications?

Yes, in addition to its 240VAC rating, this thermal-magnetic breaker is rated for use in DC control panels and equipment up to 125/250VDC, providing a 5kA interrupting capacity.

What does the WL suffix mean on GE TEB catalog numbers like TEB122020WL?

The WL suffix indicates that the circuit breaker is factory-equipped with copper/aluminum (Cu/Al) line and load lugs.

Are the terminals on the TEB122020 rated for aluminum wire?

Yes, the factory-installed lugs are dual-rated for both copper and aluminum conductors ranging from 14 AWG to 8 AWG.

Does the TEB122020 have an adjustable trip setting?

No, the TEB122020 features a non-interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed long-time and instantaneous (LI) trip functions.

    Works fine.

Put this in the machine and within 20 minutes hand it up and running again. Just wish I could return the one we took out for refurbishing, instead of trying to dispose of it in electronic waste or sending it to a landfill
