Providing essential overcurrent defense, the 80A TEYD2080B is a two-pole miniature breaker from GE. It is engineered for commercial applications requiring dependable thermal-magnetic protection. The breaker bolts firmly into GE A-Series lighting panelboards. It accepts 4-1/0 AWG wire and substitutes for TEYH2080B or TEYL2080B models when 25kAIC is sufficient. This breaker is designed to mount in GE A-Series lighting panelboards. It features a bolt-on connection for use in commercial and industrial electrical distribution systems.
What is the difference between GE TEY, TEYF, TEYD, TEYH, and TEYL circuit breakers?
The primary difference is their interrupting capacity at 480Y/277VAC. The standard TEY is rated at 14kAIC, TEYF at 18kAIC, TEYD at 25kAIC, TEYH at 35kAIC, and TEYL at 65kAIC. They share the same physical footprint and mount in the same A-Series panels.
What is the recommended lug torque for the TEYD2080B breaker?
For the load side lugs, the recommended torque is 45 in-lbs when using 4 AWG wire, and 50 in-lbs when using 3 AWG to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors.
Can the GE TEYD2080B be reverse fed?
Yes, GE TEYD series circuit breakers are suitable for reverse feed applications.
Does this breaker have an adjustable trip setting?
No, the TEYD2080B features a fixed thermal magnetic trip unit with long-time and instantaneous (LI) trip functions. The trip settings cannot be adjusted in the field.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
