This bolt-on miniature circuit breaker is designed specifically for use in GE A-Series lighting panelboards. It is not compatible with standard residential load centers or panelboards from other manufacturers.
How does the TEYH series differ from standard TEY breakers?
The TEYH series offers a higher interrupting capacity. While standard TEY breakers are rated for 14kAIC at 277VAC, the TEYH1040B provides a 35kAIC rating at 277VAC, making it suitable for commercial and industrial systems with higher available fault currents.
Is the TEYH1040B rated for direct current (DC) applications?
Yes, this breaker includes a DC rating of 10kAIC at 125VDC. This allows it to be utilized in compatible DC control circuits, battery systems, and other specialized direct current applications.
What type of conductors can be used with the terminals on this breaker?
The factory-installed lugs accept both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) wire, providing flexibility for field wiring. The acceptable wire range for the lugs is 10 AWG to 4 AWG.
Can I mount this breaker on a standard DIN rail?
No. The TEYH1040B features a bolt-on mounting style specific to the GE A-Series panelboard chassis and is not compatible with DIN rail mounting systems.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
