Description
Designed for reliable three-phase distribution, the Eaton HFB3015 is a 15A molded case circuit breaker. As part of the Mark 75 series, it provides thermal-magnetic protection for commercial systems up to 600VAC. The F-Frame breaker features a bolt-on mounting style compatible with Eaton Pow-R-Line C panelboards, Westinghouse FDP panels, and switchboards. Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment business in 1994. The Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, and Westinghouse HFB3015 models share the exact same physical footprint and electrical characteristics, making them direct replacements for one another.
What does the Mark 75 designation mean on this breaker?
Mark 75 is a legacy Westinghouse trade name that indicates a high interrupting capacity circuit breaker. For the HFB3015, this corresponds to its maximum 65kA symmetrical interrupting rating at 240V AC.
Is the HFB3015 suitable for reverse feed applications?
Yes. Eaton F-frame circuit breakers, including the HFB series, are suitable for reverse feed applications. When backfeeding a panel, ensure you use the appropriate retaining bracket as required by local electrical codes.
What type of wire can be used with the standard lugs on the HFB3015?
The standard load side lugs accept 14 to 1/0 AWG wire and are rated for both copper and aluminum (Cu/Al) conductors. If using aluminum wire, an approved joint compound is recommended during installation.
Can the HFB3015 be used in DC circuits?
Yes. In addition to its AC ratings, this breaker is rated for up to 250V DC applications. When used in DC systems, it is typically applied to substantially non-inductive circuits.

The LI designation means the breaker features a thermal-magnetic trip unit with Long-Time (L) and Instantaneous (I) protection. The fixed thermal element provides a time delay for overloads, while the fixed magnetic element trips instantly during a short circuit.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
