This breaker is designed exclusively for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards, including HCJ, HCM, HCP, and HCW series interiors. It mounts directly to the I-Line bus stack and will not fit standard NQ or NF panels.
How much bus space does this 2-pole H-Frame breaker require in an I-Line panel?
The HGA261251 requires 3 inches of bus space. Square D I-Line H-Frame breakers take up 1.5 inches per pole.
What does the "1" at the end of the HGA261251 part number indicate?
In Square D I-Line nomenclature, the trailing "1" specifies an AB phase connection. The plug-in jaws are factory-configured to connect to the A and B phases on the panelboard bus.
Is the HGA261251 rated for reverse-fed applications?
Yes, standard thermal-magnetic PowerPacT H-Frame breakers are suitable for reverse feeding.
What type of load-side lugs are included with this breaker?
The breaker comes with factory-installed AL150HD mechanical lugs on the load side, which accept 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG aluminum or copper conductors. The line side features the standard I-Line plug-in jaw connection.
Does this breaker include a push-to-trip feature?
Yes, all PowerPacT H-Frame breakers feature an integral push-to-trip button on the front cover. This allows electricians to manually trip the breaker to verify the mechanical operation of the trip mechanism during maintenance.
