This unit-mount breaker is designed for use in individual enclosures, switchboards, and Square D NQ panelboards as a main or sub-feed breaker. It is not compatible with I-Line group-mounted panelboards.
Can I use aluminum wire with the QBL22250?
No. While many Q-Frame breakers accept aluminum or copper, the 250A rating on this specific unit-mount breaker restricts it to copper (Cu) conductors only, sized from 4 AWG to 300 kcmil.
Is the QBL22250 a direct replacement for older Square D breakers?
Yes, the PowerPacT Q-Frame QBL22250 is the official direct replacement for the discontinued Square D Q22250 (Q2 Series) circuit breaker.
What is the recommended lug torque for the QBL22250?
The tightening torque for the line and load lugs is 248 lb-in (28 N.m) for 4 AWG to 300 kcmil copper wire. Always verify with the label on the breaker prior to installation.
Does the QBL22250 mount directly onto a busbar?
No, this is a unit-mount, feed-thru breaker with box lugs on both the line and load sides for cabled applications. It does not plug onto or bolt directly to a busbar like I-Line or QO breakers.
What does the B in the QBL22250 catalog number signify?
In the PowerPacT Q-Frame series, the B indicates a standard interrupting rating of 10 kAIC at 240V. Higher interrupting ratings are available in the QD (25 kA), QG (65 kA), and QJ (100 kA) frames.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
