Does the BQD140 carry HACR or HID ratings?
Yes, the 40-amp, 1-pole BQD140 is both HACR (Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) marked and HID (High-Intensity Discharge) lighting rated. Note that SWD (Switching Duty) ratings only apply to 15A and 20A models in this series.
What wire sizes are accepted by the lugs on the BQD140?
The BQD140 features factory-installed load-side lugs that accept 14 to 6 AWG copper (Cu) wire or 12 to 6 AWG aluminum (Al) wire. The line side bolts directly to the panelboard bus.
Can the BQD140 be mounted on a DIN rail?
The BQD140 is natively a bolt-on breaker for panelboards. However, it can be DIN rail mounted using a compatible Siemens DIN rail mounting adapter clip. Alternatively, the Siemens CQD series is the dedicated DIN rail-mounted equivalent.
Can I add a shunt trip or auxiliary switch to the BQD140?
No. Internal accessories like shunt trips, auxiliary switches, and alarm switches mount on the left side of the breaker and are not available for single-pole BQD breakers like the BQD140. You would need a 2-pole or 3-pole breaker to install these accessories.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
