Description

This bolt-on breaker mounts directly into Siemens P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5 commercial panelboards. It requires a bolted connection to the bus and will not fit in standard plug-on residential load centers.
Can the Siemens BQD160 replace legacy ITE breakers?
Yes. Siemens acquired ITE, and current Siemens BQD breakers are direct, UL Listed replacements for older ITE BQD breakers with matching pole and amperage configurations.
Does Siemens offer a DIN rail mount version of the BQD160?
Yes. If you need a cable-in, cable-out breaker for DIN rail mounting in a control panel, use the Siemens CQD160. The CQD series shares the same footprint and ratings but is designed for surface or DIN rail mounting rather than a panelboard bus connection.
Is the BQD160 breaker rated for reverse feed installations?
Yes, Siemens BQD molded case circuit breakers are UL Listed for reverse feed applications, allowing them to be back-fed when used in compatible enclosures or generator setups.
Does the BQD160 carry an HACR rating?
Yes, all Siemens BQD breakers from 15A to 100A are HACR marked, making this 60A breaker suitable for protecting heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment branch circuits.
Is the BQD160 rated for switching HID or fluorescent lighting?
No. In the BQD family, SWD (Switching Duty) ratings are limited to 15-20A 1-pole breakers, and HID (High-Intensity Discharge) ratings are limited to 15-50A 1-pole breakers. The 60A BQD160 exceeds the maximum amperage for these specific lighting ratings.
Can the trip settings on the BQD160 be adjusted?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit trip functions are factory set and cannot be modified in the field.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
