This ED-frame breaker is engineered for integration into Siemens Sentron P1, P2, and P3 panelboards, as well as standard Siemens switchboards. It also fits legacy ITE distribution panels configured for bolt-on ED-frame devices.
Can I use this breaker to replace an older ITE-branded ED4 breaker?
Yes. Siemens acquired ITE and maintained the exact physical dimensions and mounting footprints for the ED frame. This is the direct, manufacturer-approved replacement for vintage ITE versions with identical electrical specifications.
Is the ED43B070 approved for reverse feed installations?
Yes. Standard Siemens ED-frame thermal-magnetic breakers are UL approved for backfeeding. Because they are not restricted with line and load markings, you can safely supply power from either the top or bottom terminals.
Can I use this breaker on a DC electrical system?
Yes, it is rated for up to 250VDC. For 3-pole breakers applied on ungrounded DC systems, Siemens requires wiring the power supply in a zig-zag or series connection across all poles to ensure the voltage is evenly distributed.
Are the factory-installed lugs suitable for both copper and aluminum wiring?
Yes, the included mechanical lugs safely accept either copper or aluminum conductors. When terminating aluminum wire, always apply a listed oxide inhibitor and tighten to the specific torque values printed on the breaker label to prevent thermal expansion issues.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
