Can I use this to replace an older ITE HHED63B070 breaker?
Yes. Siemens acquired ITE and maintained the same Sentron series catalog numbers. The Siemens HHED63B070 is a direct replacement for the legacy ITE version.
What are the accepted wire sizes for the load side terminals?
The included load side lugs accept wire gauges from 10 AWG up to 1/0 AWG. These terminals are rated for both copper and aluminum conductors.
What does the extra high interrupting capacity mean for this breaker?
The HHED6 series provides higher fault current protection than standard ED frames. It delivers a 100kA rating at 240VAC and a 65kA rating at 480VAC for systems with high available fault currents.
Is this breaker suitable for direct current systems?
Yes, it is rated for use in DC applications up to 250VDC, providing a 30kA interrupting capacity for those specific installations.
Are the thermal and magnetic trip settings adjustable?
No. This thermal magnetic breaker features fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous trip functions. It does not have adjustable dials to modify the trip curve.
How does this breaker connect to the panel bus?
This is a bolt-on circuit breaker. The line side bolts directly to the panelboard or switchboard bus using the appropriate mounting hardware kit for your specific chassis.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.

Expedited Shipments
