The HLXD series, including the HLXD63B400, features a factory-sealed, non-interchangeable trip unit. Standard HLD breakers have interchangeable trip units. The non-interchangeable design is required by UL for reverse-feed applications.
Can the Siemens HLXD63B400 be reverse fed?
Yes. Because it is manufactured with a non-interchangeable trip unit, this breaker is UL Listed for reverse-feed applications.
What is the standard lug wire range for this 400A LD-frame breaker?
When fitted with standard TA2J6500 mechanical lugs, the breaker accepts two 3/0 AWG to 500 kcmil copper or aluminum conductors per phase.
How is the trip unit configured on the HLXD63B400?
It features an LI (Long-Time and Instantaneous) thermal-magnetic trip unit. The thermal protection for overloads is fixed at 400 amps, while the magnetic protection for short circuits is adjustable from 2000 to 4000 amps.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
