Description
Engineered for heavy-duty industrial use, the MD63B500 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker from the Siemens Sentron family. It features an interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed thermal and adjustable magnetic settings for precise long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection. This 500A breaker mounts into Siemens S4, S5, P4, and P5 panelboards, as well as SB switchboards. This breaker is compatible with Siemens S4, S5, P4, P5, SPP, and FPP panelboards, as well as SB1, SB2, and SB3 switchboards. Note that installing this unit-mount breaker into a panelboard requires the appropriate strap kit for your specific enclosure.
What is the standard lug capacity for the MD63B500?
The factory-installed lugs accept up to three conductors per phase. They are rated for 1/0 AWG to 500 kcmil wire and are compatible with both copper and aluminum conductors.
How does the thermal-magnetic trip unit operate on this model?
The trip unit provides LI (Long-Time and Instantaneous) protection. It features a fixed thermal element for standard overload conditions and an adjustable magnetic element, allowing you to fine-tune the instantaneous short-circuit trip threshold.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
