Yes. Siemens manufactured the Murray product line before officially phasing out the brand. A Siemens MP3100 and a Murray MP3100 are identical Type MP-T breakers and function exactly the same in compatible load centers.
What is the current Siemens replacement for the MP3100?
The Siemens Q3100 is the direct, UL-approved replacement. Siemens issued an official substitution letter authorizing the use of Type QP breakers (like the Q3100) in place of legacy Type MP-T breakers (like the MP3100) for Murray and Siemens panels.
Is this breaker HACR rated for HVAC equipment?
Yes, the MP3100 carries an HACR rating. It is fully approved for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration motor loads that require this specific safety designation.
Does this breaker provide GFCI or AFCI protection?
No. The MP3100 is a standard thermal-magnetic circuit breaker providing only overload and short-circuit protection. It does not include ground fault (GFCI) or arc fault (AFCI) circuitry.
What does the LI trip function indicate on this breaker?
The LI designation means the breaker provides Long-Time (thermal) and Instantaneous (magnetic) trip functions. The thermal element protects against sustained overloads, while the magnetic element trips immediately during a short circuit.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
