Constructed for heavy-duty commercial use, this 35-amp, 2-pole circuit breaker provides essential thermal-magnetic protection. It is an ideal solution for branch and feeder circuits in industrial environments. This bolt-on MCCB fits perfectly into Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards. It operates within the SENTRON family's GB/GG frame group and can be replaced by the newer 3VA51 series when necessary. With a 100kAIC rating at 240V, it includes HACR and HID ratings, plus reverse feed capability.
Which panelboards are compatible with the NGB2B035B circuit breaker?
The NGB2B035B is designed for use in Siemens P1, P2, and P3 lighting and distribution panelboards. It mounts directly to the panel bus using a bolt-on connection.
Can the NGB2B035B be used in DC voltage applications?
Yes, in addition to standard AC systems, this breaker is UL rated for DC applications up to 125/250VDC with a 14kAIC interrupting capacity, making it suitable for specific industrial control and battery circuits.
Does the NGB2B035B come with load lugs, and what wire sizes do they accept?
Yes, it includes factory-installed load lugs. They accept 8 AWG to 1/0 AWG copper wire or 8 AWG to 2/0 AWG aluminum wire for branch circuit connections.
What is the difference between Siemens NGB, HGB, and LGB circuit breakers?
These breakers share the same physical GB frame size and mount in the same panelboards, but they have different interrupting ratings. NGB is the standard interrupting version, while HGB and LGB models offer higher interrupting capacities for systems with greater available fault current.
Is the trip unit adjustable on the NGB2B035B?
No, this breaker features a non-interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous trip settings.
Can I use the NGB2B035B to replace an older NGG breaker?
While NGB and NGG breakers share similar internal components and the same GB frame, NGB breakers are specifically configured for panelboard mounting with a bolt-on line connection. NGG breakers are typically used for DIN rail or base mounting. You must use the NGB version for Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards.
Does this breaker carry an HACR rating?
Yes, Siemens NGB frame circuit breakers are HACR rated, making them suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
What type of trip mechanism does the NGB2B035B use?
It utilizes an overcenter toggle mechanism that is trip-free. This ensures that if a short circuit or overload condition occurs, the contacts are forced apart and the breaker cannot be held closed by the handle.
