Description
Engineered for commercial applications, this Siemens 40A molded case circuit breaker provides reliable overcurrent protection for 600Y/347VAC systems. This bolt-on unit mounts into Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards. For legacy upgrades, this NGB frame breaker is replaced by the newer 3VA51 series, which requires a mounting strap kit. No, the NGB2B040 is a bolt-on GG frame breaker designed for commercial panelboards. It will not fit in standard residential plug-on load centers that require QP or BL style breakers.
How is the trip unit configured on this breaker?
The NGB2B040 utilizes a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time (thermal) and instantaneous (magnetic) trip functions are factory set and cannot be adjusted in the field.
Is this breaker suitable for direct current (DC) systems?
Yes, in addition to its AC ratings, this breaker is rated for use in 125/250VDC systems, providing up to 14kAIC of interrupting capacity for DC applications.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
