The Q150 is a Type QP breaker designed for use in Siemens PL, ES, EQ, and Ultimate series load centers. It is also backward compatible with older ITE and Gould panels that specify Type QP breakers.
Can the Siemens Q150 replace a Murray MP150 breaker?
Yes. Siemens acquired and phased out the Murray brand. Siemens Type QP breakers, including the Q150, are the official, UL-listed direct replacements for Murray Type MP-T breakers such as the MP150.
Is the Siemens Q150 HACR rated?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated. It is approved for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment that requires HACR circuit protection.
What is the recommended lug torque for the Q150?
For the accepted 8-6 AWG copper or 8-4 AWG aluminum conductors, the standard torque rating is 40 lb-in for 8 AWG wire and 45 lb-in for 6 to 4 AWG wire. Always verify the exact torque specifications printed directly on the breaker label before installation.
Can I use fine stranded wire with the Q150 breaker?
No. The mechanical lugs on Siemens QP breakers are not approved for use with fine stranded wire. Standard stranded building wire, such as THHN, is acceptable.
Does the Q150 include the Insta-Wire feature?
Yes. Siemens Type QP breakers feature Insta-Wire connectors. The terminal screws come backed out and ready for wire insertion straight out of the box to reduce installation time.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
