Engineered for residential and commercial applications, the Siemens Q345H is a 3-pole, 45A miniature circuit breaker. It provides reliable thermal-magnetic protection for 240V electrical distribution systems. This plug-on breaker mounts into Siemens EQ, PL, ES, and Ultimate load centers. It also serves as an exact upgrade and replacement for legacy Murray MP345 breakers. Rated for 22kAIC, it delivers high interrupting capacity for demanding fault current requirements. It is HACR rated.

Product FAQs
6 answers
Which load centers are approved to accept the Siemens Q345H breaker?
This plug-on breaker is UL-listed for installation in Siemens PL, ES, EQ, and Ultimate series load centers. Because it is a 3-pole breaker, it requires three full one-inch spaces on the panel busbar.
Can the Siemens Q345H be used to replace discontinued Murray breakers?
Yes. Siemens acquired Murray and officially designates QPH series breakers as the direct, UL-listed replacements for legacy Murray MP-HT series breakers, including the 45-amp MP345H.
What does the H in the Q345H part number signify compared to a standard Q345?
The H designates a high-interrupting capacity. While the standard Q345 is rated to safely clear a 10,000 amp fault (10kAIC), the Q345H is built to handle up to 22,000 amps (22kAIC) at 240V for commercial or high-fault residential applications.
Will a 22kAIC QPH breaker fit in a panel designed for 10kAIC QP breakers?
Yes. The QPH series shares the exact same physical Q-frame dimensions and plug-in mounting style as the standard QP series. You can safely upgrade to a QPH breaker in any Siemens panel that accepts standard QP breakers, provided the panel meets your fault current requirements.
Can the Q345H be used on a 3-phase 240V system?
Yes, as a 3-pole breaker, the Q345H is specifically designed for 3-phase electrical distribution systems operating at up to 240VAC. It is not rated for 480V applications.
How does the thermal-magnetic trip unit in the Q345H operate?
The breaker uses a dual-function mechanism. The thermal component provides long-time (L) protection by heating up and tripping during sustained overloads, while the magnetic component provides instantaneous (I) protection by tripping immediately when it detects a massive fault current or short circuit.
