6 answersWhat level of ground-fault protection does the QF240A provide?
It provides Class A 5mA ground-fault protection. This is designed for personnel protection in wet or damp locations, such as spas, hot tubs, and outdoor equipment.
Can this 2-pole GFCI breaker be used on a 240V circuit without a load neutral?
Yes. A load neutral is not required for 240V-only applications. However, the white pigtail wire on the breaker must still be connected to the panel neutral bus bar to power the internal GFCI testing and sensing circuitry.
Which Siemens load centers accept the QF240A breaker?
This plug-on breaker is approved for installation in Siemens EQ, ES, PL, and Ultimate series load centers.
How is the neutral connection made for this breaker?
The QF240A utilizes a pigtail neutral. The attached white wire must be routed and terminated at the neutral bus bar in the panel, rather than plugging directly onto a neutral bar.
Is there a 40A Siemens GFCI breaker with a higher interrupting rating?
Yes. The QF240A has a standard 10kAIC rating. If your system requires a higher fault current capacity, the Siemens QF240H offers a 22kAIC rating.
What is the difference between the QF240A and the Q240GF?
The Q240GF is the newer generation of this 40A 2-pole GFCI breaker. The QF240A is the original legacy version. Both provide Class A 5mA protection and mount in the same Siemens enclosures.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
