Built for residential applications, the Siemens QSA1515 integrates two 15A circuits with whole-house surge protection. This design adds surge defense without sacrificing breaker spaces. This plug-on unit mounts into Siemens EQ, PL, and ES series load centers. It is replaced by the QSA1515SPD. Rated at 10 kAIC, it delivers reliable thermal-magnetic protection alongside a 40kA surge rating. LED indicators and a trip-to-notify feature alert users if surge defense is compromised.

Product FAQs
6 answers
Which Siemens load centers accept the QSA1515 breaker?
This plug-on breaker is compatible with Siemens EQ, EQL, SEQ, EQG, PL, and ES series load centers.
What is the direct replacement for the legacy QSA1515?
The QSA1515 has been replaced by the Siemens QSA1515SPD, which offers the same combination of two 15A circuits and whole-house surge protection.
What surge protection capabilities does the QSA1515 offer?
It functions as a secondary surge arrester with a 40kA peak current impulse rating and a 920 Joule line-to-line transient energy rating.
How much panel space is required to install the QSA1515?
The unit requires two standard 1-inch spaces, measuring 2 inches wide total. It provides two independent 15A circuits while adding surge protection, preventing the loss of usable panel slots.
How does the QSA1515 indicate that surge protection has failed?
The device uses a trip-to-notify mechanism that trips the breaker when surge defense is compromised. It also features LED status indicators that remain illuminated while protection is active.
Will the circuit breaker still function if the surge protection component fails?
Yes. If the surge protection is lost and the trip-to-notify mechanism activates, the circuit breaker will still function normally to provide overcurrent protection after being reset.
