Built for industrial power distribution, the Square D BDA36030 is a 30A, 3-pole MCCB. As part of the PowerPacT B-Frame series, it utilizes fixed thermal-magnetic trip elements. The breaker installs into Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. Facility managers can also use this model to replace older FA36030 units in existing enclosures. 5 answersWhat panels accept the BDA36030 circuit breaker?
It is strictly designed for use in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It will not fit standard residential load centers like QO or Homeline.
Does the BDA36030 directly replace the obsolete FA36030?
Yes. The PowerPacT B-Frame BDA36030 is the direct factory replacement for the legacy Square D FA36030 I-Line circuit breaker. It maintains the same physical mounting space dimensions and phase configuration, making retrofits into existing panelboards straightforward.
How does this breaker connect to the panelboard bus?
It uses Square D's proprietary I-Line plug-on phase connection system. You slide the breaker into the panelboard vertical busway, where the integrated line-side jaws securely grip the busbars without requiring bolted connections.
Can I remove the I-Line mounting bracket to use this as a standard lug-in/lug-out breaker?
No. The I-Line jaw connectors and mounting bracket are factory-installed integral components of the BDA36030. They cannot be removed or converted to a standard unit-mount configuration.
Can I mount this I-Line circuit breaker on a DIN rail?
No. While some unit-mount PowerPacT B-Frame models are DIN rail compatible, this specific version features an integral I-Line mounting bracket. It is built exclusively for plug-on installation in I-Line enclosures and cannot be DIN rail mounted.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
