This bolt-on E-Frame breaker is designed exclusively for use in Square D NF series panelboards. Because it is a three-pole device, it will occupy three standard bus spaces.
Can the EDB34070 be used on an ungrounded 480V delta system?
No. This breaker features a 480Y/277V slash voltage rating. It is only listed for use on solidly grounded wye systems where the line-to-ground voltage does not exceed 277VAC.
How does the EDB34070 differ from EGB34070 and EJB34070 breakers?
All three are 70-amp, three-pole E-Frame breakers that fit the same NF panelboards. They differ only in their short circuit interrupting capacity at 480Y/277V. The EDB is rated for 18kAIC, the EGB for 35kAIC, and the EJB for 65kAIC.
What type of wire is supported by the standard EDB34070 lugs?
The factory lugs accept both copper and aluminum conductors. You can terminate copper wire sized 14 AWG to 2/0 AWG, or aluminum wire sized 12 AWG to 2/0 AWG.
Does the EDB34070 offer adjustable trip settings?
No. This breaker uses a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit, indicated by the LI (Long-Time and Instantaneous) trip function code. The overload and short circuit pickup points are factory set and cannot be adjusted in the field.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
