No. This breaker is slash-rated for 480Y/277VAC [1.1.1], meaning it is strictly approved for solidly grounded wye systems where the voltage to ground does not exceed 277V. It is not rated for use on 480V ungrounded or corner-grounded delta electrical systems.
What is the difference between the EDB34045, EGB34045, and EJB34045?
All three are 3-pole, 45A, E-Frame breakers for Square D NF panelboards, but they offer different interrupting capacities at 480Y/277VAC. The EDB34045 provides 18kAIC, the EGB34045 offers 35kAIC, and the EJB34045 is rated for 65kAIC. They share identical physical dimensions and mounting configurations, making them directly interchangeable when upgrading or matching fault current requirements.
What are the terminal tightening torque specifications for the EGB34045?
The required tightening torque depends on your wire gauge. For 14-10 AWG conductors, torque the load lugs to 34.5 lb-in (3.9 N.m). For larger 8-2/0 AWG conductors, tighten to 49.6 lb-in (5.6 N.m).
Is the EGB34045 rated for HVAC and lighting applications?
Yes. This breaker carries an HACR rating, making it approved for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. It is also UL Listed as HID (High-Intensity Discharge), allowing it to safely switch HID lighting circuits.
Does the EGB34045 include load-side lugs?

Expedited Shipments
