The HID designation means the breaker is rated for High Intensity Discharge lighting. It is engineered to withstand the high inrush currents generated by HID fixtures, such as metal halide and high-pressure sodium lamps, preventing nuisance tripping during startup.
Which panelboards accept the EHB14020HID circuit breaker?
This bolt-on breaker is designed specifically for legacy Square D NEHB panelboards. It will not fit in newer NF series panelboards.
Can I substitute a modern EDB breaker for this EHB model?
No. EDB breakers are designed for newer Square D NF panelboards and have a different mounting configuration. You must use an EHB series breaker to properly fit the busbars in an NEHB panelboard.
How does the breaker indicate a tripped condition?
The EHB14020HID features a visual trip indicator. When a fault is detected, the operating handle snaps to a center position halfway between ON and OFF, making it easy to identify the tripped circuit inside the panelboard.

Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
