This breaker is specifically designed for legacy Square D NEHB panelboards. It is not compatible with newer NF or NQ series panels.
Can an EDB series breaker be used as a direct replacement for the EHB14025?
No. Although Schneider Electric introduced the EDB series as the modern successor, EDB breakers are built for NF panelboards and will not fit onto an NEHB busbar. You must use an EHB breaker to maintain an NEHB panel.
What types of circuits is the EHB14025 typically used to protect?
With its 277VAC rating, this single-pole breaker is frequently used in commercial and industrial 277/480V systems, particularly for branch circuits supplying commercial lighting.
Are the lugs on the EHB14025 rated for aluminum wire?
Yes, the factory-installed lugs are AL/CU rated, meaning they safely accept both aluminum and copper conductors. Always apply an approved oxide inhibitor when terminating aluminum wire.
Does the EHB14025 require a separate mounting bracket for installation?
No additional mounting bracket is required. As a bolt-on breaker, it fastens directly to the NEHB panelboard busbar.
What does the LI trip function on the EHB14025 indicate?
The LI designation means the breaker provides Long-Time (thermal) protection against sustained overloads and Instantaneous (magnetic) protection against short circuits. The trip settings on this model are fixed and cannot be adjusted.

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
