This bolt-on breaker is designed exclusively for legacy Square D NEHB panelboards. It will not fit modern NF panelboards.
Is the Square D EHB34090 obsolete?
Yes, the EHB series is a legacy product line that has been discontinued by Schneider Electric. It is typically purchased as an exact replacement to maintain existing NEHB panelboards without requiring a complete panel upgrade.
Can I use an EDB34090 to replace this breaker?
No. While the EDB series is the modern replacement for E-frame breakers, EDB breakers are designed for NF panelboards and will not mount into older NEHB panelboards. You must use an EHB breaker for NEHB panels.
Can the EHB34090 be used on a 480V ungrounded delta system?
No. This breaker carries a slash rating of 480Y/277V, meaning it is only suitable for solidly grounded wye systems where the voltage to ground does not exceed 277V.
Does this breaker feature a Visi-Trip indicator?
Yes, the EHB34090 includes the Square D Visi-Trip visual indicator. The handle will move to a center tripped position and display a highly visible red flag when a fault occurs, allowing for quick identification in the panel.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
