Schneider Electric designates the PowerPact B-Frame series as the direct replacement for legacy F-Frame breakers. For a 60A, 3-pole I-Line application, the BDA36060 is the recommended modern equivalent and is designed to fit the exact same mounting space in existing panels.
Which panelboards accept the FA34060 circuit breaker?
This breaker features a plug-on line side designed exclusively for Square D I-Line switchboards and panelboards. It will not fit into standard unit mount, bolt-on, or residential load centers.
Can I use the FA34060 to replace a failed FH34060?
No, unless an engineering study confirms the available fault current is within the FA frame's lower limits. The FA34060 is a standard interrupting breaker rated for 18kA at 480VAC, whereas the FH series provides a high interrupting capacity of 25kA at 480VAC. Substituting an FA breaker could create a severe safety hazard if the system fault current exceeds 18kA.
How are the line and load connections configured on this breaker?
The line side utilizes factory-installed I-Line jaws that plug directly into the panelboard bus assembly. The load side is equipped with mechanical lugs that accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors.

The Square D FA32100 circuit breaker (refurbished) was as good as a new breaker, without exception. There was no wear and tear or any marks at all. It was basically new. It is an excellent choice and a great product without having to pay the cost of a new breaker.
