The FAL frame is a legacy Square D product. Schneider Electric recommends the PowerPact B-Frame, specifically catalog number BDL26020, as the direct replacement for 20A, 2-pole, 480VAC applications.
Can the FAL24020 be reverse fed?
Yes. Square D thermal-magnetic breakers in the FAL series do not have specific Line and Load markings, meaning they can be safely reverse fed for supply-side applications.
What are the torque specifications for the standard AL50FA lugs?
The standard AL50FA lugs require 35 lb-in of torque for 14-4 AWG copper and 12-4 AWG stranded aluminum wire. For 12-10 AWG solid aluminum wire, the torque requirement is 15 lb-in.
Can the FAL24020 be used in direct current (DC) circuits?
Yes. In addition to its standard AC ratings, this breaker is certified for use in DC circuits up to 250VDC, making it suitable for industrial DC control panels and switchboards.

Expedited Shipments
