This breaker mounts directly onto Square D I-Line busways and panelboards. The line side features a plug-on jaw connection designed specifically for the I-Line bus system.
How much mounting space does this breaker require on an I-Line bus?
The FC34045 is a legacy F-frame breaker that requires 4.5 inches of mounting space on the I-Line bus. Each of the three poles is 1.5 inches wide.
Does this breaker come with both line and load side lugs?
No. Because it is an I-Line style plug-in breaker, the line side uses jaw connectors that attach directly to the panel bus. The load side includes standard mechanical lugs for wire termination.
What is the difference between an FC frame and a standard FA frame breaker?
The FC frame provides a higher interrupting capacity than the standard FA frame. While standard FA breakers typically cap at 18kA at 480VAC, the FC frame is rated for 65kA at 480VAC to support systems with higher available fault currents.
Are the thermal and magnetic trip thresholds adjustable on the FC34045?
No, this breaker features fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip settings. It does not have adjustable dials for long-time pickup or instantaneous trip points.
Can this circuit breaker be reverse fed?
No. I-Line breakers have a specific plug-on jaw for the line side and mechanical lugs for the load side, making them physically unsuitable for reverse feeding applications.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
