The A suffix signifies that this single pole breaker is factory configured to connect specifically to the A phase of the I-Line bus. It cannot be shifted to the B or C phases once installed.
Which panelboards are compatible with this breaker?
It is designed strictly for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It will not fit in standard NQ, NF, or QO load centers. The I-Line design utilizes a specialized plug-on stab connection for the line side bus.
Are Square D F frame circuit breakers still in active production?
The F frame series is a legacy product line that Schneider Electric began phasing out for obsolescence in 2018. The manufacturer recommends the modern PowerPact B frame or H frame series as current replacements for new installations or panel upgrades.
What is the primary difference between the FA16020A and FH16020A?
Both models share the exact same physical footprint and I-Line mounting style, but they possess different interrupting capacities. The FH series provides a significantly higher short circuit interrupting rating than the standard FA series.
How is the load wire connected to this device?
The breaker includes a standard mechanical lug on the load side. If a replacement lug is ever required, the compatible Square D terminal kit is part number AL50FA.
Does this breaker provide GFCI or AFCI protection?

Expedited Shipments
