Both are 100A, 3-pole, F-frame circuit breakers, but the FHL series features a higher interrupting capacity. The FHL36100 is rated at 25kAIC at 480VAC, whereas the standard FAL series is rated at 18kAIC at 480VAC.
What is the modern replacement for the legacy FHL36100 circuit breaker?
The FHL36100 is part of the legacy Square D F-frame series. The modern equivalent is the PowerPact H-frame series, such as the HGL36100. Note that upgrading to an H-frame may require mounting adapters or panel modifications.

Expedited Shipments
