Yes. PowerPacT H-frame breakers like the HGA36015 can replace legacy F-frame I-Line circuit breakers, such as the FA36015, in existing Square D panelboards. The H-frame maintains the same footprint on the I-Line bus to simplify retrofits and upgrades.
What does the "G" denote in the HGA36015 catalog number?
In the Square D PowerPacT nomenclature, the "G" indicates the interrupting rating tier. This G-tier breaker provides a 35kA interrupting capacity at 480VAC, offering higher short-circuit protection than standard D-tier models.
How does the line-side connection work on the HGA36015?
The I-Line mounting style uses integral plug-on jaws that attach directly to the busbar stack in an I-Line panelboard or switchboard. The breaker is then physically secured to the panel backpan using a captive mounting screw located on the load side.
Will the HGA36015 fit into a Square D NQ or NF panelboard?
No. This breaker is specifically designed for I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It cannot be installed in NQ, NF, or standard QO load centers, as those panels require completely different breaker frame and mounting styles.
Are the LI trip settings on this circuit breaker adjustable?
No. The HGA36015 utilizes a thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed long-time (L) and instantaneous (I) settings. If your application requires adjustable trip thresholds, you must select a PowerPacT breaker equipped with a MicroLogic electronic trip unit.
Are load-side wiring lugs included with this breaker?
Yes. The HGA36015 includes factory-installed mechanical lugs on the load side, which accept 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG aluminum or copper conductors. The line side requires no wiring lugs, as it plugs directly onto the energized I-Line bus.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
