The difference is the interrupting rating at 480VAC. The HGL36090 has a G rating of 35kAIC, the HDL36090 has a D rating of 18kAIC, and the HJL36090 has a J rating of 65kAIC. They share the same physical dimensions and PowerPacT H-frame footprint.
What wire sizes and materials are accepted by the lugs on the HGL36090?
The HGL36090 comes standard with AL150HD mechanical lugs, which accept 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire.
Can the HGL36090 be used in DC applications?
Yes, this thermal-magnetic breaker is rated for DC systems. It provides an interrupting rating of 20kAIC at both 250VDC and 500VDC.
What does Unit Mount mean for the HGL36090?
Unit mount means the breaker is designed to be bolted directly to a backpan or mounting plate, connecting to the circuit via wire lugs on both the line and load sides. It is not designed for I-Line or plug-on panelboard connections.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
