This breaker is exclusively compatible with Square D Homeline load centers and CSED devices. It must be installed in panel spaces that are designed to accept tandem or quad breakers. It will not fit in QO series panels or other manufacturers' enclosures.
How are the 20A and 40A circuits configured on this breaker?
The HOMT220240 features two independent 2-pole circuits. The outer two poles make up the 20A circuit, while the inner two poles make up the 40A circuit. Each circuit has its own common trip mechanism.
How many panel spaces does the HOMT220240 require?
This quad tandem breaker requires two standard 1-inch spaces in a Homeline load center to provide two separate 240V circuits.
If one circuit overloads, will both the 20A and 40A circuits trip together?
No. The inner 40A circuit and the outer 20A circuit operate independently. If a fault occurs on the 20A circuit, only the outer poles will trip, leaving the 40A inner circuit powered, and vice versa.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
