5 answersWhat type of panelboard accepts the Square D LA36350?
This breaker is built with an I-Line plug-in mounting style on the line side, meaning it will only fit into Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It cannot be used in standard load centers or unit-mount applications.
What is the difference between the LA36350 and LAL36350 breakers?
Both are 350-amp, L-frame circuit breakers, but they have different mounting configurations. The LA36350 features an I-Line plug-in connection for I-Line panels, whereas the LAL36350 is a unit-mount (lug-to-lug) breaker designed for individual enclosures or standard configurations.
What size wire can I use with the standard lugs on this breaker?
The included load-side lugs accept either a single 1 AWG to 600 kcmil conductor or two 1 AWG to 250 kcmil conductors per phase. They are rated for both aluminum and copper (Al/Cu) wiring.
Are the trip settings on the LA36350 adjustable?
The thermal protection (Long-Time) is fixed at 350 amps, but the magnetic trip (Instantaneous) is adjustable. This allows you to fine-tune the breaker's response to short circuits without affecting standard overload protection.
What is the high-interrupting alternative to the LA36350?
If your electrical system requires a higher short-circuit interrupting rating, the LH36350 is the direct high-interrupting upgrade for this I-Line L-frame breaker.

Expedited Shipments
