Can this breaker be installed in an I-Line panelboard?
No. The MJL36800E10 is a feed-thru unit-mount breaker equipped with mechanical lugs on both the line and load sides. For plug-on installations in I-Line panelboards, an MJA36800 I-Line breaker is required.
How does the adjustable electronic trip unit operate on this breaker?
The integrated ET 1.0 electronic trip unit allows for long-time continuous current adjustments from 300A to 800A. It also includes customizable instantaneous pickup settings to optimize short-circuit coordination in commercial and industrial applications.
What is the recommended lug tightening torque for the conductor terminals?
The standard AL800M23K line and load lugs require a tightening torque of 442.5 lb-in (50 N.m) to securely terminate 3/0 AWG to 500 kcmil conductors.
Are the lugs suitable for both aluminum and copper conductors?
Yes. The factory-installed AL800M23K terminal lugs accept three 3/0 AWG to 500 kcmil conductors per phase and are rated for either aluminum or copper wire.
Is the MJL36800E10 rated for 100 percent continuous duty?
No, it is an 80 percent rated circuit breaker. Under standard National Electrical Code guidelines, continuous loads lasting three hours or more must not exceed 640A, which is 80 percent of the 800A maximum sensor rating.
What internal accessories can be installed in this breaker?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
